China Energy Efficiency 

The China�s overall energy efficiency is approximately 40%, which is about the same as United States. The actual energy efficiency varies from the regions of the country. China realized the enormous economic and environmental benefits from improving their energy efficiency to 70 %.

Energy Conservation Programs have improve building's designs, electronic controls, and heating and cooling systems. Residential, commercial, and industrial energy efficiencies range from 30 to 80%.

Energy Conservation Programs for electric power and transportation could improve the energy efficiency to 70% by converting from carbon to clean energy

Their coal power plants are about 30% efficient and are major source of carbon dioxide emission.  

China has modernized parts of their public transportation, which are World-Class examples for other countries could emulate..

There are economic and environmental opportunities for China to upgrading their coal power plants to clean energy, increase their energy efficiency to 70% and significantly reduce carbon dioxide emissions from the projected 15 billion metric tons to 4 billion metric tons.
