Midwest Entrepreneurs' Forum

On April 12, 2006,
the President attended the Midwest
Entrepreneurs' Forum at the ITT Rice Campus in
Wheaton, Illinois. The
Entrepreneurs' Forum was on Chinese-American
partnerships with universities. Senior people with People�s Republic of
China attended the Town Hall Meeting. They come to the United States to
learn about entrepreneurship.
China�s focus has been
upon education and particular the Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
programs. Over the last twenty year, China has been developing hundreds of
universities and graduated hundreds of thousand of MBA students. From the
Chinese�s perspective, a MBA degree is learning about leadership and
management skills to empower them to turn their visions into plans; and
their plans into reality. Verses in the United States, a MBA is about
obtaining function skills and expertise in very specific fields of
marketing, accounting, sales, finance, etc.
The Chinese have
extremely high ethical standards. They enjoy working together in a teams,
which is part of their culture.
