Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN

America has relinquished
its leadership in the High Energy Physics research and development to
Europe. Fermi
National Accelerator Laboratory is going to be a chapter in the history
books on how United States spent
over seventy-five years
researching and developing the technology and handing off the technology to
other countries.
Europe
is rapidly moving into 21st century. They have invested
$10 billion in the
Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at
CERN. There
major focus by thousand of researchers at six experiments is to find the
three Higgs bosons. CERN's LHC annual operating budget is estimated at over
$500 million per year.
