Untied States Energy
Efficiency
For over thirty-five years, U.S. Energy Conservation Programs
have focused upon improved the Residential, Commercial, and Industrial
Sectors energy efficiency from 30% to 70% and use 30% of the
countrys total energy. For example, United States has an enormous
source natural gas, which is 70 to 90% efficiency.
However, Electric Power and Transportation are 30%
efficient and use 70% of the countrys total energy. The graph shows
that the Power Plant Sector is wasting 7.9 Trillion kilowatt hours; and
the Transportation Sector is wasting 6.8 Trillion kilowatt hours. The economics
opportunities are enormous. At 10 cents per kilowatt-hour, the value of the wasted energy is $1.47 trillion.
